I was born in England, and moved to the States at the age of four. During my younger years I lived as sort of a nomad, traveling as my parents found new jobs and such. I ended up in Columbus in the 90’s and started studying art at a vocational program offered at Ft. Hayes. After that I received a full tuition scholarship to The Cooper Union in NYC and left town for a while!!!! Columbus called me back, however, and I happily finished my BFA at CCAD in 2002 focusing on mixed media painting, printmaking and paper making. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and received a pat on the back!!!!!
So despite a whole lot of debt, I traveled to the UK, a couple other places and back. I saw amazing work, exhibited and worked with some great artists in really sweet spaces……..having gotten to work with and help edition prints of artists I admire……. I’m a lucky lady!
I decided to get into tattooing because it just made sense to me in an intimate and important way. The work I myself had gotten held a lot of importance to me, and I felt I had a talent I could contribute to others that would function more meaningfully than hanging a painting on a wall.
I started at Evolved in 2008 and have been enjoying the ride ever since!!!!!!
